| | | In this week’s Sun Dozen newsletter, we’re going to revisit some stories about love in the modern world.
First, we have Joaquin Contreras’ story about two slime-covered people who got engaged while on a national talk show. Wilton residents Daniel Taylor and Kelsey Biliouris made an appearance earlier this month on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to supposedly play a word guessing game. But after they lost and got covered with slime, Taylor dropped to one knee and asked Biliouris to marry him.
She just got drenched in slime on national television and said yes anyway. You can watch the whole romantic mess in the video we inserted in the story.
By the way, if you have a good story about your marriage proposal, Mark LaFlamme wants to know about it. He’s working on a story about the many ways to pop the question. Contact him at mlaflamme@sunjournal.com with your engagement’s origin story. It doesn’t have to include slime or a television show.
Second, Mark LaFlamme shares online dating stories from 14 couples. Each tale is a bit different when it comes to the online dating app and why they sought companions online. But each person quickly realized the internet brought them someone who was easy to be with and hard to be without.
Read how so many people took a chance online and kept romance going for years.
